How is the General Council elected?

 

 

 

Who is eligible to vote? 

All regular members and honorary members of Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland (TEK), and ordinary members of the Finnish Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers (TFiF) who belong to TEK, are eligible to vote if their membership has been approved on or before 1 January 2017.

Voting abroad

Members of TEK who are living abroad are also eligible to vote in the General Council election. The eligibility requirements and election dates are the same for members living in Finland and abroad.

Timetable

1 January 2017: Candidate nominations for the TEK election opens. 

All regular members and honorary members of Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland (TEK), and ordinary members of the Finnish Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers (TFiF) who belong to TEK, are eligible to vote and stand as candidates for election if their membership has been approved on or before 1 January 2017. 

8 February: Candidate nominations for the TEK election closes.

1 March: The TEK election committee confirms the list of candidates.

15 March: An online election machine opens for voters.

21 March: Voting begins.

3 April: Voting time closes.

11 April: The result of the election is published after 7 pm.
